Gustave Maurel Ltd. (GMF) was incorporated on 11th October 1989 to operate as
an independent consultancy practice for MEP services. Our services include:-

Engineering, Design and Feasibility Study:-
We work in-line with the client’s investment philosophy and develop concept designs, prepare
calculations of investment and lifecycle costs, make selection of the best engineering options.
• Engineering Drawings and BPO in CAD Drawings
• Quantity Surveying and Cost Management:-
We prepare cost estimates, bill of quantities, manage project variation of costs and issue
valuation certificates.
• Project Management:-
We propose a fully fledged management of the tendering process, make selection of
contractors and suppliers, process procurement, do commissioning, post-construction
monitoring, insurance valuation and report on litigation issues.
An important proportion of the work executed by us since incorporation has consisted in
providing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy and quantity surveying services for hotels
with project values of the order US$30 M per hotel.
Some of our major hotel projects are Le Prince Maurice 5-star hotel, Belle Mare Plage
Hotel, Heritage Resort, Tamassa Hotel, Beau Rivage Hotel, Sofitel, Sunrise Hotel.
GMF has also provided consultancy services for :-
- Sugar factory developments in Tanzania;
- 20-storey National Pensions Fund Headquarters (Mauritius);
- airport development – Mauritius international airport;
- airport terminal, power plants, workshops, housing units for US Navy at Diego Garcia;
- Hospitals;
- Schools;
- Industrial Buildings;
- Theatres;
- Commercial and residential buildings;
- Residential developments;
- IRS and RES projects (Villas Valriche, Belle Riviere Villas, Club Med)
We fully understand the need for sustainable engineering and pride ourselves in having
delivered projects such as the Telecom Tower and EmtelWorld at Ebene Cybercity. We are also
in the process of obtaining International certification for environmental assessment methods.
On a regional basis, GMF (through its associated company, GMF International Ltd.) has worked
on several hotel projects in Seychelles and Maldives, among which Lemuria Resort, Diva
Maldives, Le Meridien Barbarons.
Our team of 35 members, consisting of qualified mechanical and electrical engineers, quantity
surveyors, experienced draughtsmen as well as an efficient administrative staff, are fully trained
to deliver your projects as per your requirements.
